Let's start with a little about me. My name is Kathryn Anne Bandy, but most people call me Katie. I'm 18 years old, and begin college in about a month. I'm not entirely sure what my major is yet. I am a Follower of Christ, and I do my best to love everyone as he loved us. I'm a youth leader at my church, and I find great joy in it. I was an Alto in my high school's choir, and I miss it dearly. I played softball for about 7 years, but quit 3 years ago to pursue other interests. I love music, of all types. I listen to everything from Patrick Stump to We Came As Romans to Mumford & Sons to Kurt Nilsen, ect. Music is a universal language. I'm a realistic person, but try to look for the positive side of things. I have a really manipulative yet totally loveable dog named Colby, and a fat and lazy cat named Hermie. I named my car Malachi, so if I ever say something like "So today Malachi was acting weird", just know I'm talking about my car. (I tend to forget that some people don't know what his name is.)
One time when I was very young, I was at a party with my parents. I don't remember this, but apparently I walked over to their friend's in-ground hot tub and said "Well, here goes nothin'!" and jumped right in the middle of it. I couldn't swim so my dad pulled me out, and I had an extremely shocked look on my face. I tend to jump into things feet first without even sticking a toe in the water, literally and figuratively. I guess that's what I'm doing with this blog. So, here goes nothin'...
